Braves claim eighth straight by defeating Irish

Logan Elm won its eighth consecutive match on Monday, returning from Rising Park with a 4-1 Mid-State League Buckeye Division win over host Fisher Catholic.

Jude Schaal defeated Fisher Catholic’s Sophie Shaw 6-1 and 6-0 at second singles and Logan Elm’s Maggie Wilson blanked Nathaniel Reiling 6-0 and 6-0 at third singles.

Logan Elm’s Maggie Wilson won a point at third singles on Monday against Fisher Catholic.

The LE first doubles team of Maddox Arledge and Mason Wolfe shutout Jake Krooner and Reece Hagy 6-0 and 6-0. The LE second doubles team of Will Higginbotham and Scotty Gaskin defeated Annie McGill and Elsa Ravada 6-0 and 6-2.

Elliot Boley scored the lone point for the Irish with a 6-3 and 6-2 win at first singles against Owen Braun.

The Braves (8-1, 3-0) continue league play on Wednesday at Hamilton Township.
