Circleville had its bats warm-up in its final three at-bats on Wednesday, scoring nine runs to defeat host Amanda-Clearcreek 10-1 in a Mid-State League Buckeye Division game.
The Tigers scored three times in the fifth to take a 4-1 lead.
Alyssa Liston and Chandler Hayes led off the frame with back-to-back singles and advanced on a ground out to first by Claire Davis. Cara Cooper then reached on a fielder’s choice by the shortstop that scored Liston.

Circleville scored three more runs in the sixth to expand its advantage to 7-1.
Liston reached on an error and Davis joined her on the base pads one out later on a single to center. Cooper followed with a single to right that knocked in Liston. The throw to home allowed the runners to advance to second and third.
Davis scored on a wild pitch and McConnell singled to center one out later that chased home Cooper.
McConnell went 4-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored, Liston turned in a 3-for-4 evening and scored three times, Cooper and Michael each went 2-for-5 with three RBI with Cooper also scoring twice and Hayes was 2-for-4 and scored twice.
Haley Robinson and Cassadee Steinmetz each singled for the Aces.
McConnell used 99 pitches to throw a two-hitter and yielded an unearned run. She walked three and struck out six.
Both teams hit the road on Thursday, as the Tigers (14-5, 7-3) take on Bloom-Carroll for a league game and the Aces (6-9, 3-7) battle Jackson in a non-league tilt.
