Tate DeBord doubled to center to start the home second, advanced to third on a bunt single by Trent Smith and scored on a sacrifice fly to center off the bat of Drew Thornsley.
Circleville doubled its lead in the third when Austin Gray lined a single to center, stole second, advanced to third on a ground out by DeBord and scored when Logan Smith reached on an error by the second baseman.
Athens reached the scoreboard in the fourth, but Circleville countered in its half of the inning.
Thornsley reached on an error by the shortstop, stole second and scored when Nolan West lined a double to center.

Trent Smith worked a walk to force in Gray and Angelo Travis jumped on the first pitch he saw and hit a two-run single to left that chase home both DeBord and Logan Smith.
Trent Smith scored later in the inning to put the Tigers ahead 7-1.
Gray went 2-for-3 and scored twice and DeBord was 2-for-4 and also scored twice to pace the Tigers.
Logan Smith allowed three hits and an earned run over six innings to earn the win. He walked a batter, hit one and struck out four.
The Tigers (15-8) travel to VA Memorial Stadium on Tuesday to face Minford in a non-league game.
