Isabel Sayre and Sydney Manring combined to throw a three-hitter on Friday to help lead Teays Valley to a 9-0 Mid-State League Buckeye Division win over host Liberty Union.
Sayre allowed two hits, walked a pair of batters and struck out four to earn the win. Manring allowed one hit, walked a batter and struck out six.
Liberty Union’s Suzie Shultz checked Teays Valley to just four hits on Wednesday in a 5-0 loss, but the Vikings were able to get to the talented freshman right-hander in the rematch for nine hits and nine earned runs.
Morgan Cantrell used her speed to manufacture the first run of the game by working a walk, stealing second and third and scoring on a throwing error by the catcher.

The Vikings scored three runs with two outs in the third to extend their lead to 4-0.
Cantrell and Micah Mann reached on back-to-back singles and Reagan Mengerink was hit by a pitch.
Isabel Sayre reached on a single to short right field that allowed Cantrell to score.
Aimee DeWeese followed with an infield single to second. Mann scored on the hit and Mengerink came around on the throw to also dent the plate.

The Vikings scored once in the fifth, again in the sixth and three more in the seventh.
Mann was a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored, DeWeese was 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored and Sayre contributed a 2-for-3 evening with an RBI.
The Vikings (22-3, 13-0) extended their league winning streak to 29 games and return to action on Monday when they travel to Watkins Memorial in a battle of two of the top three seeds in the upcoming Division I Central District tournament.
