Aces want to take advantage of scrappiness

Amanda-Clearcreek Aces Volleyball

Coach: Jodi Good

2022 finish: 6-17, eighth in Mid-State League Buckeye Division

Key returnees: Emma Kern (honorable mention all-league), Braeleigh Blosser, Grace Davis (second team all-league), currently injured hoping she gets to return to play soon, Taylor Evans and Hannah Bryan.

Key losses: Grace Davis until she is cleared to play.

Key newcomers: Freshman Gavynn Sowers, who will be a solid six-rotation player. Katie Kemmerling, although not new to the program, she is new to the libero position and leading the team’s defensive efforts.

Coach’s comments: The core of this group have been playing at the varsity level for two-to-three years so we are looking upon that experience and maturity to improve our standing in the division. The team is very scrappy defensively and continues to become stronger offensively.

The team will continue to improve upon individual technical skills, making the correct decisions at key moments, and staying aggressive with their game play from start to finish each set of each match.
