BC repeats as MSL champ with win over LE

CARROLL — Bloom-Carroll wasn’t to be denied as the Bulldogs were after their second straight MSL Buckeye championship when Logan Elm paid a visit Tuesday.

The Bulldogs swept the Braves 25-13, 25-14, 26-9 to improve to 13-0 in MSL play (20-1 overall) and claim the title. 

The BC contingent of juniors Corinne Knapp (13 kills), Evelyn Brown (11) and Katie Marshall (10) led the team in attacks. 

Junior Madison Lacy had 40 assists and sophomore Sylvia Haughn served up four aces. 

Logan Elm was limited to 16 kills in the match, led by Claire King with nine. 

Hannah Rhoads had 15 assists and Lynsay Vanhooose had 18 digs.

The Braves (14-7, 7-6) wrap up the regular season at home with Liberty Union Thursday. BC is at Amanda-Clearcreek Thursday.
