Monday’s diamond report

BB — Teays Valley 8, Amanda-Clearcreek 0

ASHVILLE — Teays Valley shutout visiting Amanda-Clearcreek 8-0 Monday afternoon. 

Brody Mann got the start and pitched six scoreless innings for the Vikings. He gave up two hits with three walks and struck out five. 

Trevor Hamilton pitched the seventh with two strikeouts. 

Jeremiah Fabbro went 2-3 and drove in three runs for the Vikings. Landon Vandegrift drove in a pair of runs as well. 

Peter Brockman started for the Aces going 3.2 innings giving up six runs (all earned) and allowing four hits and two walks with four strikeouts. Drew Dossman pitched 1.1 innings giving up a run on three hits with two walks and a strikeout. Dalton Dresbach pitched the final inning allowing an unearned run on a walk and two strikeouts.

Amanda-Clearcreek heads to Hamilton Township Wednesday. 

The Vikings are headed to Clarksville, Tennessee, for games Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 

BB — Westfall 2, Adena 0

FRANKFORT — With two outs in the seventh inning, Westfall finally took the zero off the scoreboard in getting a 2-0 win at Adena Monday.

After a ground out and a strikeout, Cade Hall drew a walk. After taking second on a passed ball, a single from Trent Walters put runners on the corners. 

Walters stole second and then Brenden Tuttle singled to left to drive in Hall and Walters. 

Tuttle, who went the distance on the mound, closed the game out by striking out all three batters in the bottom of the seventh. He gave up only one hit in recording the shutout and walked three while striking out 10. 

The Mustangs host Huntington Wednesday. 

BB — Logan Elm 3, Fairfield Union 0

LANCASTER — Logan Elm held host Fairfield Union to a single hit Monday night in picking up a 3-0 win. 

Cline struck out 18 over seven innings Monday walking one and giving up just the one hit. 

An RBI double in the second inning put the Braves on the board and they added two in the fourth on an RBI single and then after an error on a stolen base. 

SB — Logan Elm 6, Fairfield Union 1

LABCASTER — Sadie Binkley kept things under control from the mound as Logan Elm picked up a 6-1 win at Fairfield Union Monday.

The sophomore hurler struck out 17 of the 24 batters she faced. She gave up only one hit – a first-inning home run to Ella Harmon – and walked one. 

Lynsay Vanhoose went 4-4 at the plate with an RBI and scored twice. Peyton Richendollar went 3-4.

LE hosts Hamilton Township Friday. 

SB — Liberty Union 4, Circleville 0

BALTIMORE — Circleville was held to two hits in a 4-0 loss at Liberty Union Monday.

The Tigers threatened in the second when Ella Michael led off with a single. Kaylee Holbrook laid down a bunt that was misplayed allowing her to reach safely and Michael to advance to third. But a strikeout followed by two lineouts ended the Tigers’ chances. 

That was the only time Circleville had a runner in scoring position Monday. 

The Lions put two across in the first, one in the second and their last run in the fifth. 

Gabby McConnell pitched for Circleville. She allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits with two walks and three strikeouts. 

A visit from Bloom-Carroll Wednesday is next up on the Tigers’ schedule. 

SB — Adena 11, Westfall 4

FRANKFORT — Adena broke open a tight game in the later innings to beat Westfall 11-4 Monday. 

Gabby Henry scored in the first inning for the Mustangs on a single from Delana Landefeld.

Adena tied the game in the bottom of the inning and took a 2-1 lead in the third. 

Adrina Hicks tied the game for Westfall when she scored on a sac fly from Ava Heath in the top of the fifth. 

The Warriors put five across in the bottom of the fifth to go up 7-2. 

Westfall added two more runs in the sixth on back-to-back RBI doubles in the sixth from Logan McNeal and Emma Henry. 

Adena put four more across in the sixth to put the game out of reach. 

Westfall hosts Huntington Wednesday.
