BB — Amanda-Clearcreek 1, Circleville 0
AMANDA — Amanda-Clearcreek made a run in the third inning hold up behind a strong pitching performance from Peter Brockman to get a 1-0 win over visiting Circleville.
Brockman struck out 10 and walked only one in recording the shutout.
The Aces got the run they needed in the bottom of the third when Leland Riley opened with a double and then Brady Holbrook hit a one-out single to bring him home.
Trent Smith was on the mound for the Tigers. He walked two and struck out six. He gave up only the two third-inning hits.
Circleville’s only hit came from Drew Thornsley in the first. A walk, the hit and a hit batter led to Circleville loading the bases in the first, but that was the only time the Tigers threatened.
The Aces (2-4) had a double-header with Sheridan on the schedule for Saturday while the Tigers (1-3) are at Hamilton Township Wednesday.

BB — Paint Valley 1, Westfall 0
BAINBRIDGE — A couple of seventh-innings mistakes from Westfall set the table for Paint Valley to grab a 1-0 win Friday.
With the game scoreless entering the bottom of the seventh, the Bearcats had Carson Free and Preston Fauber reach on errors and John Free followed that up with a walk to load the bases. With the count at 1-1, Gavin Kingery took the next three pitches to draw a walk and force in the winning run.
Westfall was limited to two hits on the night — singles from Cade Hall and Trent Gardner.
Nick Stonerock took the loss as he pitched six-plus innings allowing the unearned run on five hits with three walks and 11 strikeouts. Gardner pitched to one batter in relief.
Owen Donahue went the distance for the Bearcats. He struck out six and walked two.
Westfall (3-2) hosts Southeastern Wednesday.
BB — Hamilton Township 6, Logan Elm 3
CIRCLEVILLE — Logan Elm outhit Hamilton Township but three unearned runs were the difference as the Rangers posted a 6-3 win Friday.
The first HT batter reached on an error and scored on a one-out double. Another hit gave the Rangers an early 2-0 lead.
In the second inning, an error trying to throw out a runner stealing second allowed the lead runner to score and the runner to go to third, who then scored on a sacrifice fly for a 4-0 Rangers’ lead.
Logan Elm cracked the scoreboard in the fourth.
With two runners on and two outs, Josh Hunter singled to right field to score Brady Neff and Hunter and Carson Summers were able to grab an extra base on the throw. Kyle Rhine then singled to drive in Summers and make it a 4-2 game.
The Rangers added two more in the fifth.
Logan Elm got two runners on in the fifth and the sixth, but couldn’t bring them in.
The Braves added their final run in the bottom of the seventh.
Zane Seimer singled with one out and moved to third on a pair of wild pitches. He scored on a groundout by Keegan Diehl.
LE got two more runners on, but the Rangers closed the door with a strikeout.
Colton Eplin started for the Braves, going 5.1 innings and allowing six runs (three earned) on seven hits with two walks and four strikeouts. Grant Cline pitched 1.2 innings in relief. He struck out two and walked two.
Logan Elm (2-2) hosts Piketon Saturday.
BB — Dickson County 10, Teays Valley 3
Northeast 8, Teays Valley 6
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn — Teays Valley’s spring break trip to Tennessee resulted in a pair of setbacks Friday.
A strong start from Dickson County (Dickson, TN) propelled the Cougars to a 10-3 win over the Vikings.
Northeast High School (Clarksville, TN) used a six-run fourth inning to grab an 8-6 win over the Vikings.
• Jayden Morrison had a rough start against Dickson County as he gave up seven runs on eight hits with a walk and one strikeout in an inning and a third. Tyler Matthews pitched 4.2 innings in relief. He allowed three runs (one earned) on five hits with a walk and five strikeouts. Nico Trapasso pitched a scoreless seventh inning.
Down 10-0 heading to the bottom of the fifth, the Vikings got on the board with an RBI single from Peyton McElfresh and then a misplayed grounder off the bat of Landon Vandegrift brought in another run.
TV added its final run in the sixth on an RBI-single from Luke Reese.
• In the nightcap against Northeast, a pair of one-out errors by the Vikings opened the door for six unearned runs in the fourth inning and put the Eagles up 6-1.
The Vikings responded with three runs in the fifth on an RBI single from McElfresh, a passed ball and an RBI single from Matthews.
Northeast loaded the bases and added two more runs in the sixth to go up 8-4.
TV made one last run at the Eagles in the top of the seventh as they loaded the bases on a leadoff single and two walks.
After a pair of strikeouts, Brody Mann singled to drive in a run and Westin Woodrum scored on a wild pitch. But Northeast’s Jamarion Green wrapped up his save by recording his third strikeout to end TV’s comeback hopes.
Brody Weiler led TV at the plate going 3-3 in the game.
Tanner Kelley started for the Vikings and gave up six unearned runs in 3.1 innings of work. He gave up only one hit, walked four and struck out five. Gavin Gilpen came on in relief allowing four hits, walking one and striking out two.
Teays Valley wraps up its trip to Tennessee Saturday morning with a game against Clarksville’s Rossview High School.
