ASHVILLE — Teays Valley took the top spot in both sides of Tuesday’s Pickaway County Track Meet hosted by the Vikings.
On the girls’ side, Teays Valley finished with 112.5 points with Circleville second at 70.5, Logan Elm third at 51.5 and Westfall fourth at 16.5.
TV accumulated 92 points in the boys’ meet with Logan Elm second with 80. Westfall had 56.5 and Circleville had 25.5.
TV won nine events in the girls’ meet. Raelynn McGrath was responsible for three of those as she set personal records in winning the 100 meters, 100-meter hurdles and the long jump. Other individual TV winners included Katy Zang (1,600 meters), Lily Gaal (300-meter hurdles) and Brooklyn Herbert (high jump).
The other three event titles came in the relays. Kathryn Ridley, Avery Sopko, Paige Baker and Katelyn Blaney won the 800-meter relay; Abby Henderson, Kaitlyn Stiffler, Lily Gaal and Emma Minton won the 1,600-meter relay; and Addison Keplar, Iris Ardrey, Kate Charter and Minton won the 3,200-meter relay.
Circleville won the 400-meter relay with a team of Sydney Lattimer, Isabelle Perini, Makya Cockerham and Faith Yancey.
Yancey also topped the field in the 200 meters with Maddux Bigam winning the 800 meters for Circleville and Emma Groff winning the pole vault.
Logan Elm’s Rylie Martin won the 3,200 meters, Marlo Smith was tops in the shot put and Maggie Wilson won the discus.
Caitlyn Shipley won the 400 meters for the Mustangs.
Teays Valley’s boys won eight events Tuesday.
Topping the list was the win in the 400-meter relay where Weston Gray, Jacob Robins, Jayden Woods and Griffin Gray set a new school record with their winning time of 44.26 seconds.
Woods also was first in the 100 and 200 meters.
TV’s Drew Moore was first in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles.
John Bowling, Billy Baldwin, De’Vaughn Railey and Jackson Perry won the 800-meter relay.
TV’s Cavin McDowell won the high jump and Jackson Perry won the pole vault.
Logan Elm was on top in the distance races with Keegan Kidd winning the 800 meters and Owen Russell the 1,600 and 3,200. Russell, Blake Kanniard, Parker Disbennett and Kidd teamed up to win the 3,200-meter relay as well.
Alden Williams won the long jump for LE.
The Mustangs took the top three spots in the 400 meters with Josh Trapp coming in first.
Brody Williams, Henry Barnes, Tyler Yates and Trapp won the 1,600-meter relay.
Jeremiah Layton won the discus for Westfall.
Auri Travis came through for Circleville as he won the shot put competition.
