Bulldogs win MSL #2, tied with Braves for league lead

PICKERINGTON — Bloom-Carroll posted a 29-shot win Saturday to claim the second Mid-State League Buckeye Division boys’ golf match. 

BC’s Carter Price was the match medalist with a 76 and Bulldogs filled the top four spots on the way to a team 313 at Turnberry Golf Course. Logan Elm was second with 342. 

LE’s Grant Cline tied for the fourth individual spot with an 81, Graham Williams shot 83, Parker Calder shot an 85 and Mason Gentry completed the scoring with a 93. Cole Smith shot 96 and Lance Thomas had a 102. 

Circleville was a fourth with a score of 365. Reid Seimetz led the Tigers with an 86, Max McKeivier shot 91, Liam McConnell had a 92 and Brady Reuter rounded out the scoring with a 96. Jaxon Hughey had a 110.

Amanda-Clearcreek was fifth with a 372. Caiden Riddle led the Aces with an 85, AJ Moyer shot 87, Ashden Vanscoy shot 94 and Breece Stone rounded out the scoring with a 106. Lucas Foster posted a 121 and Mason Jones a 122. 

With two MSL matches in and two remaining, BC and LE are tied for first with 9-1 records. Fairfield Union is 6-4, Circleville 4-6, Amanda-Clearcreek 2-8 and Liberty Union is 0-10.

Team scores: Bloom-Carroll 313, Logan Elm 342, Fairfield Union 354, Circleville 365, Amanda-Clearcreek 372, Liberty Union 409.
