CIRCLEVILLE — Playing in wet conditions, including a steady rain for much of the second half of the round, Teays Valley placed eighth at the Division I Central District sectional at Pickaway Golf Course Monday.
New Albany took the sectional title with a 312 and Olentangy was runner-up with a score of 322.
The Vikings had a team score of 401.
TV’s Brooklynn Lowry was 19th overall with a 90. Addison Abele had a round of 100, Morgan Laxton had a 105 and Taylor Strawser rounded out the scoring with a 106. Makinna Pinion had a score 109.
Olentangy’s Jodie Han and Meadow Tian shared medalist honors as they each shot rounds of 71.
The top four teams advance to the district tournament Monday at the Links at Echo Springs.
Along with New Albany and Olentangy, Olentangy Berlin (350) and Hilliard Davidson (361) will advance as teams.
Moving on as individuals are Eliza Mercer from Gahanna-Lincoln (3rd, 72), Anna MacHamer from Canal Winchester (4th, 73), Hailey Boss from Canal Winchester (7th, 78) and Niley Mathias from Bloom-Carroll (10th, 83).
