Division I Girls
PICKERINGTON — With Teays Valley’s top runner Katy Zang listed as a DNF (did not finish), the Vikings finished 15th as a team at the Division I regional at Pickerington North.
Reese Galinger led the Vikings with a 14th-place showing in 18:47.98 and she will qualify to the state championships as an individual.
Addison Keplar was 35th in 19:28.20, Kate Charter was 85th in 20:34.74, Iris Ardrey was 111th in 21:20.21, Julie Charter was 122nd in 21:47.49 and Grace Thanasack was 123rd in 21:59.68.
Lancaster won the team title with a score of 83 while Hilliard Davidson was second with 106. The Vikings had a team score of 316.
Brooke Chapman from Olentangy Orange won the individual title in 17:18.80 with Marisa Heil from Lancaster second in 17:23.79.
There were 131 runners who completed the race.
Division II Boys
PICKERINGTON — Fairfield Union had three of the top 10 finishers on the way to winning the regional title at Pickerington High School North Saturday.
The Falcons had a score of 51 with Bishop Watterson second with 111.
FU’s Andrew Walton won the individual title as he finished the race in 15:26.90 with Brice Fuller of Fairless second in 15:42.98.
Logan Elm’s Owen Russell was 37th in 16:50.43.
Westfall’s Josh Trapp was 59th in 17:21.69.
LE’s Parker Disbennett was 94th in 17:57.72.
There were 163 runners in Saturday’s race.
Division II Girls
PICKERINGTON — Athens had three girls in the top five as the Bulldogs edged out Minerva 45-48 for the regional title Saturday.
Fairfield Union was fifth with 209 points and will advance to the state championships.
Athens’ Sophia Szolosi won the race in 17:52.77 and her teammate Andie Corrigan was second in 18:42.62.
Circleville’s Maddux Bigam earned a return trip to the state championships as she finished 16th in 19:29.40.
Logan Elm’s Evelyn Sykes was 90th in 21:49.79.
There were 149 competitors in the race.
