CIRCLEVILLE — Visiting Washington Court House managed only three baserunners Thursday as host Circleville advanced 21-0 in the Southeast District Tournament.
The No. 5 seed Tigers had no problem putting runners on base as they had 21 hits in the game.
Five hits, two walks and a couple of errors helped Circleville to a 7-0 lead after the first inning.
Six more hits in the third helped Circleville extend its lead to 13-0.
Another nine hits in the fourth yielded eight more runs for the Tigers.
Eight players had multiple hits for Circleville.
Kaylee West had three hits (two doubles) while scoring three times and driving in three. Audrey Cowdery had three hits, scored twice and drove in two. Claire Davis had three hits (one double), scored three times and drove in one.
Raegan Wesalowski, Jenna Boring, Kayla Fleck and Tori Bennett each contributed two hits.
Fleck handled pitching duties for CHS. She struck out three and gave up just two hits in the shutout.
Circleville (10-14) advances to face No. 4 seed South Point Tuesday at Logan High School with first pitch set for 6 p.m.
