49 area athletes move on to districts

After weekend sectional wrestling tournaments, 49 area wrestlers earned spots in the upcoming district tournaments — five have moved on as sectional champions.

Westfall’s Dax Tanner won the 113-pound title at the Southeast District Division II Sectional 1 and Logan Elm’s Conner Green won the heavyweight title in the same sectional.

Circleville’s Logan Downing won the 106-pound title in Sectional 2.

Teays Valley’s Sky Zoellick won the 145-pound title at the Licking Valley girls sectional and Westfall’s Savannah Holderby won the 145-pound championship at the Alexander sectional.
