The Logan Elm boys cross country team finished fifth out of nine schools on Wednesday at the Canal Winchester Invitational.
Top runners for the Braves included Ian Shaeffer (14th, 18:00.7); Brock Evans (23rd, 18:54.0); Drew Tomlinson (41st, 19:46.2); Trace Smith (45th, 20:02.9) and Jason Springer (55th, 20:45.3).
The Logan Elm girls finished ninth out of 10 teams.
Leading runners for the Braves were Tayla Tootle (40th, 22:56.2; Kaleigh Spires (67th, 24:51.7); Clara Wilson (74th, 25:31.9); Brooklyn Bryant (88th, 27:48.5) and Karlee Thomas (96th, 29:16.5).

Chase Young scored a pair of goals on Wednesday to help send Teays Valley to a 4-0 Mid-State League Buckeye Division win over visiting Logan Elm.
Dallas Moore and Drew Dean each added a goal in the win.
Braden Sabine made 13 saves for Logan Elm.
The Vikings (3-1, 1-0) step back out of league play with a match on Saturday when they host Watkins Memorial, while the Braves (3-2, 0-1) travel to West Jefferson on Tuesday for a non-league match.

Abby Dengler made six saves in net for Circleville on Wednesday in a 1-0 MSL-Buckeye loss to visiting Fisher Catholic.
