Circleville responded after a slow start on Thursday to defeat host Logan Elm 20-25, 25-11, 25-7 and 25-11 in a Mid-State League Buckeye Division match.
The Tigers served 12 aces in the match.
Kenzie McConnell put away 24 kills to go with four solo blocks and 25 digs to pace the undefeated Tigers; Morgan Blakeman accounted for 14 kills; Zoey Ferguson had five kills; Cara Cooper scooped up 22 digs and added five kills; Gabby McConnell tallied nine assists, four aces five kills and 16 digs; Jayla Parsons dished out 35 assists and had 14 digs and Chandler Hayes chipped in 17 digs.
Annie Karshner posted eight kills for the Braves; Aubrie Kimbrough had eight kills and nine digs; Arowynn Savage collected seven kills and seven digs; Carlee Reed distributed 12 assists and chipped in nine digs; Alex Heeter served a trio of aces and added 10 assists and 13 digs; Kaiya Elsea paced the defense with 20 digs. The Braves (4-7, 2-3) entertain Washington Court House on Saturday for a non-league tilt.
The Tigers (9-0, 6-0) host Alexander on Monday in a non-league match.

Adena (9-0, 6-0) took over sole possession of first in the Scioto Valley Conference on Thursday with a 25-23, 25-21, 22-25 and 25-21 win over visiting Westfall.
Kristin Phillips had 21 kills and 15 digs for Westfall; Marissa Mullins turned in 20 kills, 11 digs, a pair of solo blocks and two aces; Lauren Daniels accounted for 14 digs, four kills and two aces; Hailey Young contributed five kills and six digs; Claire Latham dished out 33 assists and also had 15 digs; Kayla Fleischmann paced the defense with 23 digs and Ashley Hegarty added six.
The Mustangs (6-2, 5-1) close first round conference play on Tuesday with another big tilt against visiting Zane Trace (6-2, 4-2).

Logan Elm dropped a road non-league match on Thursday against Division I Lancaster.
Lancaster’s Mallory Thomas defeated Keller Clouse 6-1 and 6-0 at first singles, Scarlett Ward bested Logan Elm’s Ella Bennington 7-6 and 6-1 at second singles and Leah Watson turned in a 6-3 and 6-1 win over Hope Akers of Logan Elm.
The Lancaster first doubles team of Gracyn Gagne and Hannah Sheets beat Brooke Anderson and Erin Gaskin 6-1 and 6-1. At second doubles, Lancaster’s Presleigh Bebout and Lily Anderson turned in a 6-2 and 6-1 ledger against Casie Gaskin and Jerica Platz.
