The Teays Valley girls cross country team finished fourth out of 10 schools on Saturday at the Pickerington Central Invitational.
Pickerington North won the event, followed by Gahanna, Pickerington Central and the Vikings.
Senior Megan Bush finished second in the race in 20:29.1, only trailing Worthington Kilbourne’s Toby Bomser (19:55.6).
Other leading runners for the Vikings included Karoline Pees (sixth, 20:59.0); Brooke Guisinger (19th, 21:55.2); Lindsey Triplett (23rd, 22:12.6) and Payton Sayre (57th, 24:15.5).
The Teays Valley boys finished seventh out of 12 schools.
Unioto won the meet and Gahanna was second.
Top runners for the Vikings included Kyle Dennis (fourth, 17:45.5); Zach Goldsmith (33rd, 18:07.5); Carson Weiss (34th, 18:16.4); Joey Williams (36th, 18:19.8) and Chase Gaynor (71st, 19:19.7).

Circleville earned a 25-13, 25-16 and 25-15 non-league win on Saturday over host Chillicothe.
Jayla Parsons dished out 30 assists; Kenzie McConnell had 21 kills, four aces and 14 digs; Morgan Blakeman tallied 13 kills and 14 digs; Cara Cooper had 19 digs and Chandler Hayes added 15.
The Tigers (13-1) resume MSL-Buckeye play on Tuesday at Fairfield Union.
Girls Soccer
Teays Valley 5,
Liberty Union 1

Both Teays Valley and Liberty Union on Saturday struggled to take hold of the MSL-Buckeye match until the 20th minute when Gabby Wehrlin took a pass from Aly Williard, cut inside and curled her shot inside the back post to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead.
A few minutes later, Brooke Jacob played a great diagonal ball across the box to Brooke Zealer who finished it to double the lead.
In the 31st minute, the Lions responded as they cut the deficit to 2-1.
However, the Vikings responded immediately as Aimee Watson headed home a corner kick from Jacob to make it 3-1 at the half.
Two minutes into the second half, Watson struck again as she headed home a free kick from Jozie Hammond.
TV continued to keep the pressure on and in the 62nd minute Makayla Lange found Calli Henderson who sent a high shot over the goalkeeper to make the final 5-1. Annaleigh Jett had four saves in goal for the Vikings.
In JV action the Lady Vikings dropped a tough contest 3-0 to Jonathan Alder after being down 1-0 at the half. Peyton Norman played in goal for TV.

Abby Dengler had a busy day in net on Saturday with 15 saves for Circleville in a 6-0 MSL-Buckeye loss to visiting Bloom-Carroll.

Dallas Moore scored a goal for the Vikings on Saturday in a 1-1 non-league draw against host Delaware.
Reese Sauerbrun made six saves.

Cayden Stewart scored a goal for Circleville off an assist from Payden Dillon in a 1-1 non-league draw at Hillsboro.
Nick Burns made six saves.
