Panthers on top at LE tournament by half point

After more than 340 matches, Saturday’s 16-team Logan Elm Wrestling Tournament was decided by half of a point.

Buoyed by five individual titles, Miami Trace came out on top over Celina 257.5 to 257. Clinton-Massie was third with 219.

Amanda-Clearcreek took the sixth spot with 167.5, Circleville was seventh with 111.5, Logan Elm was eighth with 94 and Westfall was 14th with 16 points. 

Leading the way for AC were Luke Herron (138 pounds) and Grant Guiler (150) who won their weight classes, and Bobby Pieratt who took second at 144 pounds. 

Circleville’s Trent Fulgham won the heavyweight division with a pin of Paint Valley’s Dakota Tennant in the finals. 

Logan Elm’s Gavin Hoover was the top finisher for the Braves taking second at 120 pounds.
