Amanda-Clearcreek opened the season on Saturday by taking second in the 13-school Westfall Butcher-Green Memorial Invitational.
Celina topped the field with 288 points, followed by the Aces (222), Bishop Ready (216) and the host Mustangs (206.5).
The Aces fared well at the smaller and middle weights with Reese Marshall taking first at 106 pounds and Jed Sahr taking the weight class title at 113.
Landon L’Huillier won the 138-pound weight class with a 15-7 decision over Westfall’s Wayne Kitchen in the final.
Bodie Martin captured the 144-pound weight class by outscoring Maysville’s Logan Wilhite 19-14 in the final and Peyton Beavers claimed a 9-3 decision at 150 pounds against Celina’s Zach Greber in the championship match.
Brody Steinmetz was third at 190 pounds.
Wayne Kitchen (138) Tony Hoty (120) and Wes Moats (190) all finished second for the Mustangs and Hunter Probasco took third at 285 pounds.
