Logan Elm erupted for five runs in its final two at-bats on Monday on its way to a 10-6 Mid-State League Buckeye Division win over Liberty Union.
Carson Summers led off the sixth and was hit by a pitch. Summers then stole second, advanced to third on a single to left off the bat of Keegan Diehl and scored on a passed ball to tie the game at 6-6.
Zane Seimer reached on an infield single to third and Kyle Rine legged out an infield single to deep shortstop that allowed Diehl to score.
After a strike out, a squeeze bunt courtesy of Blayton Reid scored Seimer.
Mason Gentry then singled to right to chase home Rine and put the Braves ahead 9-6.
Summers led off the seventh by drawing a walk and Diehl lined a single to center. After a sacrifice bunt by Seimer, a squeeze by Rine allowed Summers to score.
Diehl went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored, and Rine was 2-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored to lead the Braves. Reid was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Gentry was 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Grant Cline pitched a complete game and allowed seven hits and six runs (three earned). He walked three, hit a batter and struck out 12.
The Braves (2-7, 1-2) travel to Sheridan on Tuesday for a non-league game.
