Braves snap three-match skid by defeating Indians

Playing their fourth match in three days on Wednesday, Logan Elm coach Tony Clouse was pleased to see the resiliency his Braves played with in a 4-1 non-league win over host Canal Winchester.

“It was nice to get a win tonight after a tough last two days,” Clouse said. “Our kids have been resilient this week with a full schedule so far. We will try to end the week on a positive note tomorrow.”

Logan Elm’s Owen Braun claimed a 6-1 and 6-0 win at first singles over Brayden Todd, Logan Elm teammate Jude Schaal defeated William Theaumtalary 6-3 and 6-1 at second singles and Maddox Arledge recorded a 6-2 and 6-1 win at third singles over Canal Winchester’s Andrew Humphries.

Logan Elm’s Owen Braun claimed a first singles win on Wednesday in a non-league match against Canal Winchester.

The Logan Elm first doubles team of Will Higginbotham and Sam Braun topped Brendan Logsdon and Brandon Murphy 7-5 and 6-2.

Logan Hajer and Don Swaney scored the lone point for the Indians with a 7-5 and 6-1 win over Carter Garrett and Ella Borland.

The Braves (10-4) resume Mid-State League Buckeye Division play on Thursday when they host rival Circleville.
