Circleville sent 14 batters to the plate in a 10-run first inning on Wednesday to set the tone for a 17-1 Mid-State League Buckeye Division win over host Amanda-Clearcreek in five innings.
Nolan West and Scott Moats reached on back-to-back singles to open the game and were joined on the base pads when Tate DeBord worked a walk one out later.
JD Reuter then grounded into a fielder’s choice to third that resulted in West being out at home.
Moats scored on a wild pitch that also advanced DeBord and Reuter on the base pads, allowing both Tigers to come around and dent the plate on a single to right by Logan Smith.
After Drew Thornsley reached on catcher’s interference, Trent Smith jumped on the first pitch he saw and doubled to right to knock in Logan Smith and Thornsley also came around to score on the play on an error by the second baseman.
West reached on a single behind second base that allowed both Trent Smith and Bradley to score.
Following a single to left by Moats and both runners advancing on a wild pitch, Austin Gray singled to center to drive in both West and Moats.
Gray advanced to second on the throw home and scored when DeBord lined a single to left.

Gray led the Tigers by going 3-for-4 with five RBI and two runs scored and Moats also went 3-for-4 and scored three times. DeBord turned in a perfect 2-for-2 ledger that included two RBI and a run scored, and West was 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Trent Smith threw a scoreless inning, allowing a hit and striking out a batter. Hunter Davis worked the next two frames, allowing two hits, walking a batter, hitting a batter and striking out four to be credited with the win. Parker Kidwell threw the final two innings and allowed three hits, a walk and struck out two.
The Tigers (12-6, 7-3), winners of their last five games, travels on Thursday to league-leading Bloom-Carroll.
