Logan Elm shifted around its lineup in preparation for the upcoming postseason on Wednesday and still returned from Highland County with a 5-0 non-league win over Hillsboro.
“We changed up the lineup tonight a little to get ready for sectionals next week,” LE coach Tony Clouse said. “It was good to see some players at different positions like Will Higginbotham at singles and Owen Braun at doubles. Both adjusted well looked like they were enjoying themselves! Overall, it was good performance by all!”
Jude Schaal blanked Hillsboro’s Michael Koogler 6-0 and 6-0 at first singles, Logan Elm’s Maggie Wilson prevailed in straight sets of 6-1 and 6-1 at second singles against Gavin Brown and LE teammate Will Higginbotham bested Steven Rodgers 6-0 and 6-1 at third singles.

The LE first doubles team of Owen Braun and Maddox Arledge dispatched Ryan Fender and Owen Florea 6-0 and 6-1. The LE second doubles squad of Mason Wolfe and Sam Braun shutout Joseph Lovlie and Grady Rorick 6-0 and 6-0.
Logan Elm (12-4) resumes Mid-State League Buckeye Division play on Thursday when it hosts Fisher Catholic.

Etenghene Ugbarugba 6-0 and 6-0 at second singles and TV teammate Balthazar Boleto shutout Sawyer Thompson 6-0 and 6-0 at third singles.
The TV first doubles team of Luke Burgett and McCoy Samlow won 6-4 and 6-1 over Peter Reinker and Terry Wilkins. The TV second doubles team of Zach Helenthal and Pjeter Nikolla defeated Nick Gebbie and Augie Hofherr 6-3 and 6-0.
Teays Valley (13-3) continues non-league play on Monday at Westerville South.
