Aces rally for walk-off win over Bulldogs

Amanda-Clearcreek scored four runs in its final at-bat on Saturday to walk-off with a 7-6 Mid-State League Buckeye Division win over visiting Bloom-Carroll.

Averie Hutchison opened the home seventh by drawing a walk and was joined on the base pads following back-to-back singles by Haley Robinson and Megan Tooill.

After an out, Faith Jewell jumped on a 3-2 pitch and singled to right to drive in both Hutchison and Robinson.

Casadee Steinmetz then doubled to left to score both Tooill and Jewell to give the Aces a win on their senior day.

Tooill turned in a perfect 3-for-3 ledger and scored twice, Jewell was 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored and Hailey Sowers was 2-for-2 and scored twice.

Amanda-Clearcreek seniors Jill Bennett, Megan Tooill, Faith Jewell and Carly Singleton.

Steinmetz pitched a complete game to earn the win for the Aces (7-11, 4-8), who open tournament play on Monday when they host Madison-Plains.
