Tigers blank Lions for 20th win this season

Circleville made the most of its three hits on Friday to defeat host Liberty Union 3-0 in a Mid-State League Buckeye Division game that lasted five innings due to inclement weather.

Claire Davis reached on an error with one out in the first and advanced to second. After Davis swiped third base, Cara Cooper lined a single to right that put the Tigers ahead 1-0.

Circleville scored its final two runs in the third.

Chandler Hayes worked a walk, stole second and advanced to third on the play due to an error on the shortstop and scored on a passed ball.
