Tigers no-hit Aces; LE stays unbeaten; Mustangs pick up first ‘W’

SB — Circleville 11, Amanda-Clearcreek 0 (6 innings)

AMANDA — Circleville turned nine hits into 11 runs and no-hit their hosts to pick up an 11-0 win against Amanda-Clearcreek in six innings Friday. 

Freshman Kaylee West led the way at the plate as she had three of the hits, including a triple and a double, and drove in four runs. 

Senior Gabby McConnell went 2-3 at the plate and threw the no-hitter for the Tigers. 

She struck out seven and walked two.  

Circleville scored in all but the fifth inning. 

Casadee Steinmetz started for the Aces and gave up nine runs (seven earned) in 3.1 innings with two strikeouts and three walks. 

Makenna Singleton pitched the final 2.2 innings giving up two earned runs with three walks and two strikeouts. 

Circleville (3-2) hosts Logan Elm Tuesday. 

The Aces (1-3) are at Hamilton Township Saturday. 

Gabby McConnell didn’t allow a hit in Circleville’s win at Amanda-Clearcreek.

SB — Logan Elm 10, Hamilton Township 2

CIRCLEVILLE — Logan Elm stayed unbeaten with a 10-2 win over visiting Hamilton Township Friday. 

The Braves outhit their guests 16-4 with Sadie Binkley, Jaycie Clifton and Ryleigh Wolfe each collecting three hits. Lynsay Vanhoose and Taylor Fowler had two hits each. 

Peyton Richendollar had things under control from the circle where she struck out 10 and walked two in seven innings of work for the Braves.

Logan Elm (5-0) heads to Unioto Tuesday. 

SB — Westfall 14, Paint Valley 0 (5 innings)

BAINBRIDGE — Westfall collected 18 hits in picking up its first win of the young season 14-0 at Paint Valley. 

Logan McNeal swung a big bat as both of her hits went over the rightfield fence. She had a solo shot in the fourth inning and had a three-run shot in the fifth.

Jill Butcher went 4-4 with a pair of doubles and four RBI for the Mustangs. 

The Mustangs already had a 7-0 lead entering the fifth inning when they proceeded to score seven more before the first out was recorded. 

Adrina Hicks threw the shutout for the Mustangs as she yielded a single hit while striking out 10 and walking seven. 

The Mustangs (1-3) head to Southeastern Wednesday.
