


It was a tight Southeast District matchup Thursday night with Washington Court House golfers firing a 167 while Circleville shot 168 and Logan Elm shot 169 at Pickaway Golf Course.
Grant Cline (LE), Graham Williams (LE) and Will Miller (WCH) shared medalist honors as they all carded a round of 39.
The Tigers were led by Reid Seimetz with a 40, Brady Reuter followed with a 41, Michael Fernandez shot 43, Liam McConnell 44, Andrew Siembida 49 and Ashton Groff 57.
Will Higginbotham had a 44 for the Braves, Parker Caldwell shot 47, Cole Smith had 50 and Judson Pollock shot 53.
For the Blue Lions, John Wall shot 40, Garrett Wall 43, Isaiah Wayne and Luke Crabtree each ahd 45 and Logan Clevenger shot 48.
“I told the guys that this was a great test for us getting closer to the sectional golf tournament as all three are really solid Southeast District teams that will be battling for spots in the district golf tournament,” Circleville coach Luke McConnell said. “Consistency will be the key down the stretch and being able to control the emotions and not let the moment seem too big. I like how we are starting to bunch back up scoring wise and keep it going in the right direction.
“Congrats to Grant, Graham and Will for being medalists tonight.”
Vikings third at Pumpkin Vine
LANCASTER — Fairfield Union defended its home course Thursday winning a four-team match at Pumpkin Vine Golf Club.
The Falcons had a team score of 156 while Sheridan shot 158, Teays Valley 183 and New Lexington 192.
Sheridan’s Canyon Daly was match medalist with a 36.
Mustangs win SVC match
Westfall’s girls fired a 181 to win the fifth SVC match of the season.
The Mustangs’ Paige Weiss was match medalist with a 37.
SVC play wraps up Tuesday with an 18-hole match at Pickaway Golf Course.
